Nigerian FREEMASONS

WELCOME TO
THE DISTRICT GRAND LODGE OF NIGERIA
The proposal for the formation of the District Grand Lodge of Northern and Southern Nigeria originated from Calabar Lodge No. 3434 during its Regular Meeting on 14th September 1912. At the time, there were six English Constitution Lodges in Nigeria, with Calabar Lodge being the second youngest. Justice Willoughby Osborne, then Chief Justice of Southern Nigeria was nominated as the first District Grand Master. The petition for the formation of the District was approved by the Most Worshipful Grand Master, and the official patent was issued in London on 15th July 1913. The inaugural meeting of the District Grand Lodge was held on 20th November 1913 at St. George’s Hall, Broad Street, Lagos.
The District Grand Lodge of Nigeria is thriving more than ever and, on a mission, to cement our reputation as a force for good in our communities and society at large, and as a thriving organization that people aspire to join.
There are over 42 Lodges in Nigeria
Today, those lodges meet at over 20 venues across the District of Nigeria.
